The OC invites readers to imagine the future, and to ask whether the means we choose today are worthy of the ends we dream of tomorrow.

 

The Ouranian Chronicles (“The OC”) is a speculative and epic true fiction series that spans more than 13,000 years of human history, from 11,000 BC to 2,350 AD.

 

Kayin, the series’ protagonist, has one objective: to reunite the First World with the Second World, and to heal the rift between our First (Ideal) and Second (earthly) Selves. 

 

The mission is to find and save “the Silent Ones,” and to prevent the rest of humanity from succumbing to their fate.

 

The Silent Ones are confined to “The Hiding Land”—a place far from the world’s surface and located 300 years in the future. They are unable to communicate with a voice of conscience (the “Numen”) and are bereft of a Sense of Self. 

 

If Kayin were to fail or lose his Sense (and memory) of Self in the process, all that was ever known of history would be erased. Humanity, its story, would vanish from the universe, forever.  

 

The purpose of time is to allow changes to be made to the outcome.

 

Written in a language that bridges the lyrical and the philosophical, the OC unites speculative narrative with metaphysical inquiry. The work proceeds from the premise that we are “Strangers in a Strange Land” and contends that the fact that we are “not from here" is the source of all our troubles—but also our redemption.
